A Summer Afternoon Along Black's Creek

#190702  oil on canvas  16 x 20  plein air

A return to a favorite spot;  Black's Creek in Quincy, Massachusetts.  It's presented here in it's new frame, as it hangs in our living room.  I painted this picture on site at the creek and, as always, people stopped by to watch and talk.  I welcome visitors while I work and enjoy chatting about what I'm doing.  My visitors usually tend to be friendly and polite.  BUT... On this particular day I was visited by a woman who got under my skin a little.  I'll write a bit about that encounter in my blog because as "annoyed" as I was by her, she gave me the opportunity to think about my art...and the art world in general.
