oil on canvas 16x20 (2015)
Based on a photograph I took in 1979 while sailing along the coast of Maine with The Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. I recall the day very well. We were about two miles off-shore. The sea was calm; almost like glass There was very little wind so we were under oar. Ahead of us was Dawn Treader; the other boat in our group. A fond memory which I'm happy to have put on canvas.
