Brownee

#100992   20x24   oil on canvas and tissue paper

Brownee is a non-representational abstract. It's heavily texture in deep browns and tans, with white and red highlights.          Tissue paper is imbeded on the canvas to create the ridges and crevasses that  define  the central structure and smaller  appendage structures. The mood is somewhat ominous; with the painting resembling an "organic" mass.  Although it's not a  "pretty" painting, I still like it.  It conveys exactly the mood I was trying to achieve.  I've always enjoyed seeing people's reaction to Brownee.  Most really don't "like" the painting, but seldom say so.  Some just "don't get it".... and a few really have genuinely enjoyed it.  Brownee is sort of my very own little "inside joke".
